— TRACY CITY, Tenn. — George Leon Blauch, 80, of Tracy City, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.

He was born Aug. 31, 1932, in Short Gap, W.Va., to Bruce Fay and Ethel McKenzie Blauch, who preceded him in death along with his sisters, Evelyn Hiett and Margaret Ward and his brothers, Haven, John, Homer, Thomas and Bruce Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Blauch, of Tracy City, Tenn.; his son, James Blauch and wife Kathie, of Hudson, Mass; his grandchildren, Luke and Nick, of Harvard, Mass.; his step-son, Hector Ayende and wife Mary Ann, of McMinnville, Tenn.; his step-grandchildren, Sierra and Jacob, of McMinnville and his sisters, Loretta Thomas and Darlene Gulino, both of Short Gap, W.Va.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, in the Layne Funeral Home Chapel, Palmer, Tenn. with Jose Bonet officiating.

Honoring his wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George Blauch's memory to the Frankfort District Historical Society, c/o Eva Kidwell, Treasurer, Route 2, Box 107E, Keyser, WV 26726.
