ANNA D. “DRU” SCHRINER [Frostburg]


FROSTBURG — Anna Drucilla “Dru” Schriner, 85, of Frostburg, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at her home.
Born April 9, 1926, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late John Schriner and Sarah C. Schriner.  She was preceded in death by friend, Betty Ann Hanna; brother, Jack Schriner; sister, Jeanine S. McKee, and niece, Susie Baker.
She was a teacher in Prince's Georges County and taught at Beall High School. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, a graduate of Beall High School class of 1944, and a graduate of Frostburg State Teachers College. Drucilla was a founding member of Maplehurst Country Club. She assisted with Al Via for the Vicki Via Dotson Leukemia Foundation, and she was President of the Grahamtown Water Company.
She is survived by one nephew, John Baker, of Chambersburg; brother-in-law, Howard McKee and wife Valerie, of Baltimore; two nephews, Sonnie McKee Jr. and Butchie McKee; and two great-nieces, Cindy Lyons and Jennifer Serrano.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at 11  a.m. in  St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Eric Gauchat, O.F.M. Cap. as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Baker, Lewis Wehler, Gary Hanna, Bruce Hanna, Kerry Livingston, and Royce Douty.
