WINCHESTER, Va. — Donald Edwin “Eddie” Berg, 60, of Winchester, Va., formerly of Keyser, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Winchester Medical Center.
Born on Dec. 31, 1952, at Keyser, W.Va., he was a son of the late Donald Elwood Berg and Velda A. (Adams) Berg Heavener.
Mr. Berg was a 1971 graduate of Keyser High School where he was King of Class Night and was an Ed Kelley Award nominee. He retired as a water treatment plant operator for the town of Leesburg, Va. and attended the Round Hill United Methodist Church, Winchester.
Surviving are his wife of nearly 40 years, Charlotte (Emery) Berg; two daughters, Shelley R. DeHaven and husband T.J. and Leigh Ann Berg and fiance Mike Gilkey, all of Winchester; one brother, Randy D. Berg and wife Jackie, of Rio, W.Va. and four grandchildren, Kayla, Kendall, Trey and Kason.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted in the Fountain United Brethren in Christ Church, Knobley-Headsville Road, Keyser, W.Va., on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Doug Rinker and Gary Palmer officiating.
Private interment will be in the Cabin Run Cemetery, Keyser.

The Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Keyser, W.Va., is in charge of the arrangements.
