RONALD E. WERNER [Meyersdale, Pa.]

MEYERSDALE, Pa. — Ronald Eugene Werner, 70, of Meyersdale, entered heaven’s gates on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 after a very short but courageous fight with cancer. Born Oct. 19, 1942 in Pocohontas, the son of the late Merle E. and Eleanor (Bolden) Werner.

He enjoyed his job and even enjoyed the daily contact with the wonderful residents and staff at Rest Assured. Ronnie greatly enjoyed the companionship of Rest Assured’s dog, “Reno”.“Reno” spent a lot of time following him wherever he went.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol (Meyers) and beloved dog “Hunter.” Carol and Ronnie were inseparable going everywhere and doing everything together.

He was the proud father of beloved sons, Todd Werner, and Michael Werner and his wife Ida (Faidley); and his one and only beloved grandson, Matthew Werner, all of Frostburg.

He is also survived by brothers, Wayne Werner and wife, Darlene, and Larry Werner and wife Mary Jane; sister-in-law, Sandra Henry; brother-in-law: Earl E. Meyers, Jr. and wife Hope. Also survived by his aunt, Sylva Baer, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
