LONACONING — David Harold Cassidy, 66, of Lonaconing, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at his residence.
Born May 23, 1946, in Red House, he was the son of Mabel (Bennett) Cassidy, Mountain Lake Park, and the late, Kenneth W. Cassidy.
Mr. Cassidy was a route salesman for Coca Cola, retiring in 1989 and he also worked for Johnson Controls, Edgewood. He was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Oakland, where he was a vestryman and Jr. Warden and a 1964 graduate of Southern High School.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Marie (Poling) Cassidy; a son, John Cassidy and wife, Sandra, Parsons, W.Va.; two daughters, Karen Beitzel and husband, Michael, Grantsville, JoEllen Delaney, Lonaconing; four brothers, Jerome Cassidy and wife, Judy, Oakland, Kenneth Cassidy and wife, Janice, Franklin, Va., Jack Cassidy and wife, Brenda, Eglon, W.Va., Rick Cassidy and wife, Sandra, Red House; eight grandchildren, Joseph Garlitz and wife, Kara, Amanda Lawrence and husband, Matthew, Dane, Matthew, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Deanna and Bradley; and one great-granddaughter, Alyssa.
A memorial service will be conducted in the St. Matthews Episcopal Church, on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Chip Lee and the Rev. Manning Smith officiating.
