— MOUNTAIN LAKE PARK — Virginia Clark McCauley, 90, of Mountain Lake Park, passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland.

Born Dec. 11, 1922, in Cass, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James C. and Sadie M. (Kane) Gun. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Janice McCauley and two sisters, Martha Craft and Margaret Fancher.

Virginia was a member of St Paul’s United Methodist Church. She was in the first class of Licensed Practical Nurses to graduate from Davis Hospital School of Practical Nursing and earned her Nursing Degree from Davis and Elkins College. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Tucker County Hospital. Virginia was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Oakland Chapter 67 and the Oakland Women’s Club.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Jack McCauley; two sons, Michael McCauley and wife Helene, of Oakland and Jack C. McCauley, of Annville, Pa.; one daughter, Pamela McCauley, of Morgantown, W.Va.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 203 S. Second St., Oakland, on Monday from noon to 2 p.m.

Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Pastor George Randall officiating.

Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home for the care and compassion they provided for their mother.
