CUMBERLAND — Marjorie Lee (Bailey) Cunningham, 87, of Cumberland, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 20, 1926, in Parsons, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John M. Bailey and Lena G. (Townsend) Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ronald “Poppy” Dayton Cunningham in 2007.
Mrs. Cunningham was a member of Centre Street United Methodist Church. She had volunteered at Sacred Heart Hospital and was a sitter for hospice.
Marjorie loved flowers and enjoyed spending time in her garden.
Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Hamilton and husband Fred, of Cumberland and Donna Gray and husband Bill, of Cumberland; a brother who was like a son to her, Terry Bailey and wife Barbara, of Ridgeley, W.Va.; grandchildren, Rick Hamilton, Melissa Phillips and husband Ben and Marjorie Gray; step-grandchildren, Billy Gray and Michael Gray and great-grandchildren, Michelle Phil-lips, Brayden Hamilton, Carson Gray, Allie Gray and Lily Gray.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m.
Following the visitation, a graveside service will be conducted at Restlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ann Atkins and the Rev. Charles Shelquist officiating.
