— OLDTOWN — Darlene J. Deal, 75, of Oldtown, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at her daughter's home in Missouri.

Born on Dec. 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Griffiths and Margaret (Ellis) Fousek. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jerry R. Deal Sr.; her two sons, Michael and Leroy Deal; her sister, Diane Cowger; and her granddaughter, Rachell Deal.

Darlene attended Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church where she was a member of the women's group. She loved to read, going to play bingo and playing on her computer.

She is survived by four sons, Timmy Deal and wife, Allison with whom she resided with for the past seven years, Jerry R. Deal Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Brian Deal and wife, Sandy, Corey Deal and wife, Michelle; one daughter, Deborah Anderson and husband, Bruce; three brothers, Raymond Griffiths and wife, Phyllis, Wayne Griffiths and wife, Carol, Gary Griffiths and wife, Shirley; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and special granddogs.

Friends and family will be received at the Sigleton Funeral Home, 1 Second Ave. SW, Glen Burnie, on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Sigleton Funeral Home on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Charles Riggleman officiating.

Interment will be in Glen Haven Cemetery.
