EDITH K. (WARNICK) MUIR [Willowick, Ohio]

— WILLOWICK, Ohio — Edith K. (nee Warnick) Muir, 85, of Willowick, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Emeritus at Mentor in Mentor.

Born Sept. 3, 1928, in National, Md., she had been a Lake County resident residing in Willowick for 35 years and had previously lived in Cleveland for 26 years.

Edith had worked at the Convenient Store on E. 222nd St., in Euclid, and also at the Euclid Clinic.

She loved gardening, outdoor sports, bocce, lawn darts and enjoyed cooking for her family. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were the love of her life.

She was the beloved wife of 61 years to Earl Muir; loving mother of Terry (Karla) Muir, Debbie (Tony) Martin, Kim (Gene) Tompkins and Kevin Muir; cherished grandmother of Tammy Engel, Scott Muir, Jeff Muir, Shawn Tompkins, Tyler Tompkins, Heather Muir and Haley Muir; great-grandmother of Seth; sister of Eleanor Muir, Juanita McGregor, and Kenneth Warnick; aunt of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie and Frances (nee Leatherman) Warnick; brothers, Harold Leatherman and Norman Warnick; and sisters, Virginia Warnick and Carol Broadwater.

Funeral services and visitation were held at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, 8 East Main St., Lonaconing.

Burial was held in Laurel Hill Annex.
