BETTY R. TURNER [Cumberland]

— CUMBERLAND —  Betty Ray Turner, 85, of Cumberland, passed away on Saturday July 12, 2014, at her home.

Born on April 14, 1929, in Moorefield, W.Va., she was the daughter of Robert D. and Bertha M. (Simmons) Cook. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Davis.

Betty was a member of the International Red Cross and the Grace Baptist Church. She was a Registered Nurse for 25 years at Sacred Heart Hospital. Betty loved knitting, being outside especially in the spring and summer, her cats, and above all spending time with her family.

Surviving are her two sons, Rickie Flanagan and wife Debbie and Jerry Flanagan and wife Barbara; six grandchildren, Brian Davis, Randy Davis, Debra Flanagan, Carrie Duckworth, Sean Flanagan, and Rachael Flanagan; a son-in-law, David Davis; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
