— LUSBY — Thomas Aloysious Ricker Jr., 68, formerly of Cumberland, and residing in Lusby, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014, at his home.

Born Nov. 12, 1945, in Cumberland, Mr. Ricker was the son of Elizabeth Madeline (Miller) Ricker, LaVale, and the late Thomas A. Ricker Sr.

A United States Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, Tom was a retired electrical worker Local 26. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 271; and the American Legion Post 274, Lusby. Tom formerly attended SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Besides his mother, Tom is survived by his son, Thomas “Tommy” A. Ricker III and wife, Jessica, N. Aurora, Ill.; his brothers, Ronald Ricker, LaVale, Jack Ricker, Cumberland, Robert Ricker, Austin, Texas, Edward Ricker, Jensen Beach, Fla., Gary Ricker and wife, Sherry and Terrance Ricker and wife, Sheila, all of LaVale; and a sister, Sharon A. Ricker, Austin. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Thomas A. Ricker IV and Marilyn E. Ricker; his step-granddaughter, Audrey Kimble; his step-brother, Stephen Brown and wife, Linda, Newark, Del.; as well as several nephews.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland,  ( on Thursday, June 19, 2014, from 11 until 1 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 1 p.m. with Deacon John Martin officiating.

Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.

Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Adams Family Funeral Home, PA, to help with funeral expenses.
