GRANTSVILLE — Roy Victor Holliday, 31, of Grantsville, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at WMHS Regional Medical Center as a result of a vehicle accident near Grantsville.
Born Sept. 16, 1981, in Meyersdale, Pa., he was the son of Roy Bruce and Debra Jean (Platter) Holliday, Grantsville.
Roy was a carpenter and stone mason with Daystar Builders. He was a member of Grantsville Squadron 214, Sons of the American Legion and was coach of the Grantsville Minor League Baseball Team. He loved hunting, fishing, trapping, the Washington Redskins and the Washington Capitals.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Kerri Lynn Brantner, with whom he resided; one daughter, Kendall Alexis Holliday, at home; one sister, Traci Gilpin and husband, Larry, Grantsville, and two nephews, Tyler and Jacob Gilpin.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow the services.
