— AMBOY, W.Va. — Tony “Casey” David Sullivan Jr., 56, of Amboy, went to be with Jesus on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, after a six year battle with an undiagnosed brain disease.

The son of Tony and Catherine Sullivan of Deer Park, he was born May 17, 1957 at Tacoma Park.

Tony retired as a Senior Master Sergeant from the 167th Airlift Wing with 22 years of service. He loved his country, family, motorcycle, and especially his wife of 38 years, Doris Ann. Their love story began shortly after his graduation from Southern Garrett High School in 1975. Upon graduating, he promptly enlisted in the Air Force and began his travels around the world.

On the civilian side of his life, Tony was a retired electrician from NewPage Corporation and belonged to the Local Union 1653 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 19 years. Tony faithfully attended Amboy United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted wife, Doris Ann Sullivan; two brothers, Craig Sullivan of Iola, Texas and Dean Sullivan of Oakland; his children, Joshua David Sullivan and wife Bethany of Amboy, and Jennifer Renee Lewis and husband Zebulon of Reedsville, W.Va.; and three grandchildren, Alexia Rose, Carson Allen and Taryn Fayth.

Tony was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Cerrito.

Family and friends will be received at the Aurora United Methodist Church on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 until the 11 a.m. time of service with the Rev. Michael Lantz officiating.

Burial will follow in the Terra Alta Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion, Oakland Post 71 and Deer Park VFW 100077.
