Phyllis E. Hines [Cumberland]

— CUMBERLAND — Phyllis Elizabeth Hines, 90, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011, at the Golden Living Center.

Born April 7, 1921, in Cumberland, Mrs. Hines was the daughter of the late Charles Clarence Windemuth and Effie Elizabeth (Keefer) Windemuth. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Harold Hines; a brother, Arthur A. Windemuth; and two sisters-in-law, Jeannine Windemuth and Betty Windemuth.

Retired from the Celanese Fibers Corporation of America with 40 years of service, Phyllis was a life member of Saint Luke's Lutheran Church.  

She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth C. Windemuth and his wife, Mary Alice, Mount Savage, and, Louis P. Windemuth Sr., Cumberland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland,  ( on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Yelovich officiating.

Interment will be in Saint Luke's Lutheran Cemetery.
