WACO, Texas — Iva P. Cochran, 82, of Waco, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014.
She was born April 30, 1931 in Forsyth/Rosebud, Mont., daughter of the late Bill and Iva Litchauer. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rose Quigley.
Iva worked at Eyerly’s in Cumberland, Alient Tech in Salt Lake City, Utah and she also worked in Waco. She was active in several clubs in Waco. Iva was extremely creative and talented in all she attempted, her last venture being jewelry making, which was a very successful endeavor.
Iva is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harry Cochran; her children, Kurt Cochran of Utah, Mitch Cochran of Texas and Kelly Cochran of Cumberland; six grandchildren, Eric and Heather Murphy, Dallas and Tyler Cochran and Mitchell and Alex Cochran, who affectionately called her “Googie”; two special nieces, Gail Smith and Candy Laney; a nephew, Raymond Quigley; and very special friends, Judy and Roy MacKenzie of Texas and Diana and Vern Wolodken of Florida.
Harry and Iva lived in several cities in their 61 years of marriage, where they met many good friends whom Iva kept in touch with over the years.
Iva was a very giving and loving parent and grandparent. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
