BERNARD E. “BUZZ” ARNOLD [Aurora, W.Va.]

AURORA, W.Va. — Bernard “Buzz” Ellsworth Arnold, 77, of Aurora, passed away Sept. 21, 2013 at his home.

He was born Aug. 3, 1936 in Eglon, W.Va., a son of the late Ernest William and Lucille Maxine LeMasters Arnold.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Jean Beckman Arnold; two sons, Barry (Nancy) Arnold, Terra Alta, W.Va. and Anthony “Todd” Arnold (companion Cheri), Aurora; one daughter, Tracey (Rick) Bachtel, Aurora; one brother, Ed (Romaine) Arnold, Thomas, W.Va.; one sister, Carolyn Thrasher, Newnan, Ga.; four grandchildren, Zachary (Mary) Bachtel, Marissa Bachtel, Amber Arnold, and Lydia Arnold, and two great-grandchildren, Zack and Nick Sisler.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Clifton (Buck) Arnold; and one sister, Janice Loughrie.

Mr. Arnold worked with heavy equipment in the construction and trucking business, he was the owner operator of B.E. Trucking and Cathedral Restaurant. He enjoyed working and spending time socializing.

Friends will be received at their home, 1522 Cathedral Way, Aurora, on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. At 4 p.m., a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Cheryl George officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Bank and Trust, 19 S 2nd St, Oakland, MD 21550, to establish a fund for local dialysis patients under an account opening as “Buzz Arnold”.
