CUMBERLAND — Genevieve Grace Twigg, 96, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at the Golden Living Center.

Born Nov. 11, 1916 in Little Orleans, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Cleda (Apple) Bishop. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John F. Twigg; and her twin sons, Ronald F. Twigg and Donald R. Twigg; two sisters, Leoma Orndorff and Dorothy Kreger; a brother, Lester Bishop; and a granddaughter, Karen Swick.  

Genevieve was employed at ABL assembling ammunition during World War II, she also had been employed at Celanese, the laundry at Memorial Hospital, and retired as a nursing assistant at Cumberland Nursing Home now the Golden Living Center. By faith, Genevieve was a Methodist, and she also lived at Booth Towers in Cumberland.  

She is survived by her son, Charles William Twigg and wife Dorothy, Cresaptown; two daughter-in laws, Louise Twigg and Sarah Twigg; nine grandchildren, Rhonda, Sonja, Glen, Teresa, Kathy, Janie, Donnie, Steven, and Richard; 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., (, Cumberland, on Wed-nesday from noon until 1 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
