BURLINGTON, W.Va. — James D. “Jamie” Arnold, 74, of Burlington, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home, Keyser, W.Va.
Born on April 8, 1939 at Burlington, he was a son of the late James O. and Bessie (Weaver) Arnold. He also was preceded in death by a son, Douglas A. Arnold; and a brother, Carl David Arnold.
Mr. Arnold was retired with over 40 years of service as a quality inspector at the Westvaco Luke Mill. He was a 1957 graduate of Keyser High School and attended the Beaver Run Church of the Brethren, Burlington.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Joan (Brafford) Arnold of Keyser; one son, Randall Arnold of Burlington; two grandchildren, Jillian Downs and Kirby Arnold, both of Iowa; and a great-grandchild, Rilley Downs.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013 at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Preston J. Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m.
Interment will be in the Arnold Cemetery, Junction, W.Va.
