— FROSTBURG — Thelma Mae (Close) Fuller, 91, of Frostburg died on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at her home.

Born in Frostburg she was the daughter of the late Alexander Close and Minnie (Brode) Close.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Fuller Sr.; daughter, Janice Byrnes; brothers, William Close and Kenneth Close; sisters, Barbara Richardson and Letty Close.

Thelma was a graduate of Beall High School and Frostburg State Teacher's College. She taught elementary school at John Humbird Elementary School. She and her husband William owned and operated Braddock Apartments and Fuller Construction Company. She was also a member of Salem United Church of Christ.

She is survived by daughters, Judy Fuller, Oakland and Jeanne Baker and husband Larry, Rootstown, Ohio; sons, William H. Fuller Jr. and wife Mary, Flintstone and Bruce H. Fuller, Cresaptown; grandchildren, Michelle Bisson, Amy Byrnes Brown, Greg Byrnes, Lisa Bachus, Jessica McClurg, Becca Fuller, and Dr. Katy Pincus; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving, are numerous nieces and nephews. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dwayne A. Hay officiating. Friends will be received one hour before the funeral services.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Salem United Church of Christ.
