— CUMBERLAND — Dianne Lynn “Sparkey/Diroo” Eversole, 68, of Cumberland, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013.  

Born in Somerset, Pa., on Aug. 10, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Ralph C. “Bud” and Gladys (Albright) Welsh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen Welsh and Ralph Welsh, III, and two sisters, Denise Welsh and Nellie Wright.

A 1963 graduate of Somerset High School, she was a seamstress who worked at Bender Shoe Company in Somerset, Pa., Cumberland Blouse Factory in Cumberland, and the Schwab Company also in Cumberland. Dianne was a member of the Cresaptown Eagles, she was a participant of the Cumberland Skill Pool League for over twenty years.

She is survived by one daughter, Melissa “Missy” Eversole-Muir, and finance, Bryan, Cumberland; a granddaughter, Tristan Muir, Cumberland; a grandson, Ryan Muir, Cumberland; and one sister, Jodi Dick and Moe, Johnstown, Pa. She had been married to Larry Eversole who resides in Corrigansville; two nephews, Shane and Peter; and three nieces, Heather, Amanda, and Sarah. Sparkey had many close friends throughout her life that she treated as if they were family, Renee Moreland and Jay, Sharon and Mike Natale, Shelly Horn, Pam and Rick Hughes, Jody Hoban, and brother-in-law, Bill Dick.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave. ( on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Gulbronson officiating.  

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
