CUMBERLAND — Norma M. Stott, 87, of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born on Aug. 22, 1926 in Mount Savage, she is the daughter of the late James Price and Mary Catherine (Winters) Russell. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert T. Stott; sister, Mary Louise Russell; brother, John W, “Jack” Russell.
Norma was a homemaker and a member of St. Peters & Paul’s Catholic Church, Cumberland.
Surviving are her six children, Frances Stott, North Dakota, Albert T. Stott Jr. Hyattsville, Lois Russell, Cumberland, James Stott, Colonial Heights, Va., Michael Stott, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Lawrence Stott, Cumberland; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Hughes, Mount Savage, and Theresa Bertolina, Pittsburgh, Pa.; one brother, Ronald R. Russell, Mount Savage; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
