CUMBERLAND — Ray Kile Stotler, 75, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 9, 1938, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Daisy Deen (Stickley) Stotler. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John (Moon) Stotler and sisters Evelyn Hawse, Christine Mease and Ann Ritter.
Ray graduated from Fort Hill High School. He was employed at the Old Export Brewery and retired from the City of Cumberland Water Department. Ray was a life member of the Goodfellowship Club and a social member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club.
Surviving are his special friend of 40 years, Helen May; one daughter Raylynn Welsh and husband Steve; his twin brother Clay Stotler and special friends Sharon and Gary Lynch and Steve Rowan.
As per his request, he will be cremated.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland.
A celebration of Ray’s life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Goodfellowship Club on Virginia Avenue from 2 to 5 p.m.
