PAINESVILLE, Ohio — Kenneth Frankenberry, 65, of Painesville, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, at his son's home in Painesville.
He was born April 22, 1947, to the Walter Frankenberry and Helen (Gilpin) LeGeer in Mount Savage. He was preceded in death by his father.
Kenneth was a machinist and served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic. He was a Viet Nam veteran, serving two tours of duty. He was a member of VFW Post 7754 in Fairport Harbor, the Fairport Senior Citizens Center and he enjoyed bluegrass music. Ken enjoyed dirt car racing with his grandson and motorcycle riding with his wife, touring the entire length of Route 66. He was a coach and a player for Painesville Little League and was a baseball fan.
Survivors are his wife, Agnes (Lesniewski) Frankenberry, whom he married March 27, 1971; sons, Mike (Tonia) Frankenberry, of Painesville and Chris (fiancee Kristine Popa) Frankenberry, of Willoughby; grandson, Tyler Frankenberry; sisters, Zondra (Ron) McCoy and Caren (Bob) Combs, both of Cumberland and Leslie Hathaway, of Madison and several nieces and nephews.
His last wish was to be cremated.
