— MOUNT SAVAGE — Genevieve “Genni” (Emerick) Panchot, of Mount Savage,  passed away, Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at the age of 79.

Ginny was born Dec. 31, 1931, in Mount Savage.

She was a retired captain of the U.S. Air Force Nurses Corps and served in both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. She was a very active member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Belleville, Ill.. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.  

She is survived by her sons, Earle Panchot and Victor Panchot (wife, Kim Wrigley); former daughter-in-law, Erika Doyle; her two beloved grandchildren, Alex and Zoey; and a surviving sister, Vivian Owl.  

A memorial service and interment will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Maryland State Veteran's Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone.
