WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Charles Loyal Cain, 83, formerly of Pine Ridge Road, Bedford County, Pa. and residing in Waynesboro, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at his home after a long illness.
Born Dec. 17, 1928, in Wardensville, W.Va., Mr. Cain was the son of the late Moray C. Cain and Clara M. (Boggs) Cain. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Cain, June 23, 1995; two brothers, Harold B. Cain and Loring Cain; two sisters, Helen Longerbeam and Jean Glass; and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Charles retired from Pittsburgh Plate and Glass with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, and the Senior Citizens Center of Centerville, Pa.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Debra Cain, Waynesboro; a son, Charles Cain, Burnsville, N.C.; his aunt, Juanita (Boggs) Holtzman, Cumberland; as well as numerous nieces and nep-hews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jack George officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
