MONROEVILLE, Pa. — Janice A. Sager, 81, of Monroeville, formerly of Rio and Capon Bridge, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Cedars of Monroeville.
Born on March 12, 1932 in Mobile, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Herbert A. Anderson and Clara (Rian) Anderson.
Janice was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Rio Ebenezer Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a former member of the Rio CEO’S and had attended the Fairview Lutheran Church in Gore, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Sager Jr.; and two sisters, Gladys Northcutt and Doris Brill.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Hill and husband Peter of Monroeville, Linda McNemar and husband Charles of Stow, Mass.; a sister, Marian Sager of Fairhope, Ala.; and six grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, Kristen Hill, Andrew, Allison and Erin McNemar.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Rio Ebenezer Lutheran Church with Pastor David Twedt officiating.
Interment will follow in Rio Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday 2 to 4 p.m. at McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, W.Va.
