PIEDMONT, W.Va. — David W. "Lewie" Lewis, 49, of Piedmont, W.Va., died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born on Oct. 29, 1964 at Keyser, W.Va., he was a son of Mary Lou (White) Lewis of Keymont, W.Va., and the late William G. Lewis.
Mr. Lewis was employed as a salesman with Advance Auto Parts in Keyser. He was a 1982 graduate of Keyser High School and was an avid bowler, bowling on the Tuesday Night Mixed League at Rainbow Lanes.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his fiancee, Sue Jones; four children, Jessica Casey and fiancé, Charles Leggett of Elizabeth City, N.C. and Jessica Jones, Alex Whitacre and Austin Whitacre, all of Piedmont; nine brothers, William "Danny" Lewis and wife Catherine of Keymont, Robert "Bob" Lewis and wife Ethel of Keyser, John Lewis and wife Rachel of Keymont, James "Tim" Lewis of Inwood, W.Va., Donald Lewis and companion Ruth of Keyser, Richard "Rick" Lewis and wife Debbie of Burlington, W.Va., Fred Lewis and wife Yvonne of Keyser, Paul Lewis and wife Suzie of Keyser and Ronald "Ronnie" Lewis and wife Kim of Keyser; one sister, Mary "Becky" Ritchie of Keyser; two grandchildren, Kaylee Casey and Ethan Shears and a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel L. Garlitz officiating.
Interment will be in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, W.Va.
