NINA M. MILLER [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Nina Marie Miller, 86, of Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014.

Born on Sept. 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle Roach Miller and William Edward Miller. Nina is preceded in death by eight brothers and four sisters.

In her youth she managed a deli market in Baltimore, and later worked for Stegmeier Orchard and Gerise’s Meats until her retirement.

Nina was well known for her kindness and gentleness. She enjoyed gardening and was pleasured to share the fruits of her labors. She touched many lives and was cared for by all who knew her. Nina also enjoyed nature and fishing.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she had a strong faith in the resurrection she learned about from the Bible. She will be missed by all of her loved ones.

Nina is survived by one sister, Betty Williams of Berkley Springs, W.Va.; one special nephew, Stephen L. Miller and wife Anna Marie of Cumberland, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave. ( with Robert Robey officiating.

Inurnment will be private.
