— EDGEWOOD — Rosalie Malvina Railer, 85, of Edgewood, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 11, 2013, with her family at her side.

Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Charles Stephen Ross and Della Mae (Poland) Ross, of Westernport. Rosalie was the granddaughter of the late William Lacy and Mandana Melvinia Miller Ross.

She was the devoted wife of the late Roy F. Railer; loving mother of Robert A. Railer and wife Pamela, Doris J. Isabella and Roy F Railer Jr.; dear sister of Adeline Martha Ross (and nieces Carolyn and Linda) and Laura Mae McRobie and loving grandmother of Susan Schulz and husband Robert, Janette Bickford and husband Christopher, Todd Railer and Michelle Kistler. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

As a career military wife, she resided for several years in Kettering, England and Munich, Germany before settling in Edgewood in 1954. She was very creative and enjoyed many hobbies including cooking and gardening. However, she excelled at sewing, knitting and crocheting, often making beautiful baby outfits or performing an alteration in a pinch for friends and loved ones. In her golden years, she learned computer skills on her own and liked to keep in touch with family and friends via email, make greeting cards, work puzzles and play spider solitaire.

A graveside service was held at Bel Air Memorial Gardens on Friday, March 15, 2013.
