KEYSER, W.Va. — Michael Steven Ray, Sr., 53, of Armstrong St., Keyser, W.Va., died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.
Born on March 15, 1960 at Kingwood, W.Va., he was a son of Janet Ilene Ray of Keyser. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Dixie (Feathers) Ray and a brother, Kevin Ray.
Mr. Ray was employed as a truck driver for many years with Lupton Trucking. He served in the United States Army and loving riding his motorcycle and camping.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 10 years, Tammy L. Gerard-Ray; his children, Michael S. Ray, Jr., Thomas W. Ray and wife Crystal, Joshua L. Ray and Kendall Lynn Gerard, all of Keyser; one brother, Tony L. Ray and wife Jennifer of Keyser; four grandchildren, Michael S. Ray, III, Matthew A. Ray, Daysha Marie Ray and Alyc W. Ray; a nephew, Tony "T.J." Ray, Jr. and a niece, Katelyn Ray.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randy Crowe officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
