NAOMI I. “PEACHY” AQUALLO [Morgantown, W.Va.]

— MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Naomi I.”Peachy”  Aquallo , 78, of Wiley Ford, W.Va., passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown on Sunday, March 24, 2013.

Born Dec. 16, 1934, at home in Wiley Ford, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Rev. David and Mary (Ruckman) Tusing.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Manuel Aquallo, and three sisters, Vera Twigg, Treva Mullen and Hester Teeter.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and cooking Sunday family meals. Most of all, she enjoyed sitting on her deck and visiting with neighbors.

Surviving are two sisters, Opal “Shorty” Hall, Rockville, and Foleda Helmick, Cumberland; her daughter, Donna Logue and husband Paul, Cumberland; her son, Manuel D. “Pete” Aquallo and wife Kimberly, Shermandale, Pa. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Cynthia Taylor and husband William, Fort Ashby, W.Va., Jason Aquallo, Wiley Ford, Christa Martin and husband Dennis, LaVale, Ashley Logue, Cumberland and Jesse Aquallo, Shermandale, Pa., and five great-grandchildren, Tori Aq-uallo, Avery Taylor, Ava Aquallo, and Jacob and Katelynn Martin.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., ( on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Bernadette Ross officiating.

Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

As per her wishes, she will be cremated.
