CUMBERLAND — Eva W. DeLozier, 90, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013, at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born on Sept. 21, 1922, in Springfield, W Va., she was the daughter of the late William M. and Emma Louise (Parsons) Pownall. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur A. “Shorty” DeLozier and a brother, Thomas “Top” Pownall.
Eva was a 1941 graduate of Fort Hill High School and a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star Cumberland Chapter 56 and Re Temple Daughters of the Nile. She was a homemaker.
Surviving is a daughter, Sheila R. Densock and husband Joe, of Cumberland; her son, Barry A. DeLozier and wife Susie, of Richmond, Va., grandchildren, Chere A. Conley and husband Matt, Brett J. Densock and wife Michele, both of Cumberland, Jeremy DeLozier, Angela DeLozier, Daniel Delozier and Devin DeLozier; eight great-grandchildren, Cory, Brooklyn, Hayden, Sydney, Brayden, Brandon, Alea and Elliot and a sister, Dorothy I. Murphy, of Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, (www.scarpellifh.com) on Friday, March 29, 2013, from 11 a.m. to noon.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at noon with the Rev. Wayne Turner officiating.
Interment will be in Maryland State Veteran’s Cemetery, Rocky Gap.
