BOYNTON, Pa. — James Allen Bittinger, 43, of Boynton, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, Pa.
Born April 24, 1970, in Meyersdale, Pa., he was the son of the late Bernard Lee and Amanda Shirleen (Wilt) Bittinger. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry DeWayne Wilt.
James was a construction worker and mechanic and was a member of the Moose Lodge, Meyersdale.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Diane (Pritts) Bittinger; two daughters, Kayla Livengood and husband, Joshua, Salisbury, Pa., Jessica Bittinger, Lancaster, Pa.; three step-daughters, Pearl Sanner and husband, Elmer, Friedens, Pa., Wendy Failinger and husband, John, and Kimberly Pensyl, all of Meyersdale; one step-son, Cledith “Tee” Polson and wife, Holly, Flintstone; one brother, Joseph Bittinger, Woodstock, Va.; three sisters, Debra Failinger and Susan Bittinger, both of Meyersdale, Bernadine Frederick, Grantsville; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy., Salisbury, on Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in Bittinger Cemetery, Bittinger.
