HAGERSTOWN — Walter Dean Logsdon Jr., 62 of Hagerstown, died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the V.A. Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Sept. 17, 1950, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Walter Dean Logsdon Sr. and Lillian Starkey Logsdon.
He served in Vietnam during his service in the U.S. Marines.
He was previously employed with Grove Manufacturing, Flameless Heating and Supply, Pettit and Griffin, and Pangborn Corporation.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.
He was a member of AmVets and the Antietam Fire Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and the Washington Redskins.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Calvert Logsdon; a daughter, Angela K. Kelley of Williamsport; two sisters, Sherry Bietzel and Laura Jedlowski, both of Cumberland; two brothers, Robert Logsdon and David Logsdon, both of Cumberland; three grandchildren, Anthony Britti IV, Brian Kelley Jr. and Jasmine Kelley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. George A. Limmer will be celebrant.
Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
Graveside military honors will be provided by Washington County AmVets Post 10 and Marine Corp League of Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
