— LARGO, Fla. — Robert Louis Getz, 92, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Sabal Palms Health Care Center.

Born July 6, 1920 in Kennells Mill, Pa.; he was a son of the late John B. and Viola E. (Kennell) Getz. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jay Getz.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis Lorraine (Kreigline) Getz, whom he married March 30, 1946; daughters, Patricia Crawford and husband Edward, Louisiana, Deborah Haman, Florida and Robin Enfinger, Florida. Also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, John P. Getz, Hyndman, Pa.; sisters, Mary L. Diehl, Manns Choice and Joan P. Murray, Corrigansville.   

Mr. Getz served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had worked as a Tool and Die Maker for 50 years at various locations and at the Philadelphia Philly’s Training Center in Clearwater, Fla. for 20 years. He was a member of the VFW in Hyndman and Florida and was a five time Past Master Mason. His greatest achievement was being the greatest husband and father and was a good friend to many.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Hospice of Pinellas County Florida.
