JAMES D. “DOUG” KELLER [Keyser, W.Va.]

— KEYSER, W.Va. — James Douglas "Doug" Keller, 61, of Snowbird Street, Keyser, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his residence.

Born on May 29, 1951 at Keyser, he was a son of James H. Keller Jr. and Thomasina (Dawson) Keller, both residents of Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home. Mr. Keller was preceded in death by twin infant brothers.

Mr. Keller was employed with New Page Corporation for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was a 1969 graduate of Keyser High School. He enjoyed "tinkering" in his garage and rebuilding items to reuse.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Janet Kay (DeWitt) Tasker Keller; a son, James Thomas "Tom" Keller and wife Kathryn of Winchester, Va.; a daughter, Tara Jeanette Keller of Keyser; two stepsons, Joby Tasker and wife Danette and Jamie "Bizzy" Tasker and wife Missy, all of Oakland; one brother, Mark Keller and wife Lisa of Keyser; three grandsons and four step-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Clem officiating.

The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society for pancreatic cancer research, 1050 E. Industrial Blvd., Cumberland, MD 21502.
