— PIEDMONT, W.Va. —Arnold “Marvin” Redman, 62, of Piedmont, died at his residence on March 7, 2012.

He was born on April 29, 1950 in Keyser, W.Va., and was the son of the late Arnold W. Redman and Susan E. (Keys) Redman. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Eurith A. Phillips.

Arnold was employed by the Island Creek Coal Corp. at Laurel Run. He belonged to the Kelly-Mansfield Post 52 American Legion-Sons of the American Legion. He loved to hunt and fish and go mushroom hunting. He was an avid West Virginia and Cowboys football fan.

Arnold is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Clay; one son, Jason W. Redman and fiancée, Amanda of Keyser; and one daughter, Marla E. Redman of Keyser. He is also survived by a brother, Harry E. Redman and wife Bernice of Cumberland; sisters, Sylvia Bruce and husband Ernest of Columbus, Ohio and Patty J. Redman of Keyser; his two aunts, Thelma Stewart of Morgantown, W.Va. and Myra Perry of Columbus; and his granddaughter, Onyx (O.J.) Redman of Keyser.

The family will receive friends at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, on Tuesday, March 12, 2012 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Darnell Allen officiating.

Private interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens in Keyser.
