GRANT COUNTY, W.Va. — Roberta Gail (Davy) Ketterman, 56, of Grant County, W.Va., died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Extended Care Unit, Romney, W.Va.
Roberta was born on Dec. 18, 1956, in Winchester, Va., the daughter of Freeda Elizabeth (Davey) Davy, of Purgitsville, W.Va. and the late Robert Easton Davy. She was also preceded in death by on brother, Ronald Eugene Davy.
Roberta was a graduate of Hampshire High School, class of 1975. She was employed at Kinney Shoe Company, Romney and later at ConAgra Foods, Moorefield, W.Va. She was a resident of Grant County Nursing Home.
Besides her mother, Roberta is survived by her husband, Virgil Steven Ketterman, of Dorcas, W.Va.; four sisters, Teresa E. Brown, of Strasburg, Va., Patricia L. D. Miller, of Moorefield, W.Va., V. Lynn Davy Howdyshell and husband Eugene, of Wiley Ford, W.Va. and Bobbi D. Nesselrodt and husband James Todd, of Cumberland; a number of nieces and nephews and special friend, Thelma Watson.
The family will receive friends at the Shaffer Funeral Home on Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m.
A graveside service will follow the visitation at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at the Elijah High Cemetery, Purgitsville, W.Va. with Pastor Larry Shrout officiating.
Interment will be at Elijah High Cemetery, Purgitsville, W.Va.
Memorials may be made to the family or Shaffer Funeral Home, Inc. to help defray funeral expenses.

NORMA L. CORWELL
RIDGELEY, W.Va. — Norma Lee Corwell, 81, of Ridgeley, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 17, 1931, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Carl VanAusdale and Catherine (Rose) VanAusdale. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James “Ed” Corwell, Sr.; two grandchildren, Sarah Corwell and James “Jimbo” Corwell III; two brothers, Marion “Pete” and Bernard VanAusdale and two sisters, Rosemary VanAusdale and Myrarita Twigg.
Mrs. Corwell had worked as a seamstress for 27 years at the Schwab Company. She was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish-SS. Peter & Paul Shrine.
She loved to sew, read, and do wood crafts with her husband.
“Grandma” was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her four sons, Jim Corwell Jr. and wife Cindy, Denny Corwell and wife Patty, Greg Corwell and Joe Corwell Sr. and Rae Llewellyn, all of Ridgeley; three daughters, Cindy Johnson and husband Ray, of Cumberland, Cathy Moreland and husband Roger and Pixie Potts, all of Ridgeley; grandchildren, Ray Johnson II and wife Kari, Mandy Johnson, Tracie Koontz and husband Todd, Chad Corwell and wife Jennifer, Shane Corwell and wife Missy, Kenny Moreland, Corey Moreland and wife Lisa, Michael Potts and wife Arle, Jason Potts and wife Liz, Tommy Corwell and wife Samantha, Joey Corwell and wife Tara, and Crissy Holler and husband Dave; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Camden and Ashden Koontz, Alyssa, Ashlee, Nicholas and Tyler Corwell and Aaron Bartik, Jayla, Jansen, Jessa and Graceyn Moreland, Evan, Collin, and Gavin Corwell, Lily Duncan, Hellis, Ivan and Annabelle Potts, Zane, Eli, Kylie and Hailee Jo Marie Johnson, Colin and Conner Corwell, Abigail and Anderson Holler and 28 Baby Holler to arrive soon; several nieces and nephews and her faithful companion, “Rascal.”
