— LAVALE — Delores “Dee” Cooper Gourlay, 77, of 312 Sunset Dr., LaVale, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Allegany County Nursing Home.

Born March 31, 1936 in Chaneysville, Pa., daughter of the late Harold Cooper and Dorothy M. (Bumphrey) Cooper. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Johnson and Margaret “Peggy” Shaffer.

Dee was a homemaker. She was the secretary for the Cumberland Elks and a member of the Oakland Elks. Dee enjoyed traveling and attending Elks functions and spending time with her family and granddaughters and great-grandsons.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Gourlay Sr., LaVale; daughter, Dana Gourlay, LaVale; sons, Robert Gourlay Jr. and wife Cathy, Dothan, Ala., David Gourlay of LaVale; grandchildren, Amber Mallow and Micheal of Rawlings, Codi Gourlay of Cumberland, Shawnee Gourlay, Cumberland; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Samuel Cooper Mallow; two sisters, Dorothy “Dottie” Flora and husband James, St. George, Utah, Elizabeth “Libby” Martz of Canton, Ohio; and nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m.

A funeral service will follow visitation at 5 p.m.
