CUMBERLAND — Wallace “Wally” Knotts, 92, of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013 at the Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, W.Va.

Born on June 24, 1921 in Rowlesburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Homer J. and Muriel W. (Bolyard) Knotts. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul Ray Knotts; and a nephew, Paul Ray Knotts Jr.

Wally loved to watch western movies and enjoyed telling stories about life. He spent most of his life living in Rowlesburg West Virginia. In 1978 he moved to Short Gap, W.Va. Wally loved to be with family and inspired those that were close to him. He will be sadly missed until we see him again in Heaven someday.

Surviving are his sister, Virginia Wolfe; his sister in-law, Charlotte Knotts; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews.  

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. ( 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating.  

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
