LINDA A. (BOWMAN) ROBERTSON [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Linda Ann (Bowman) Robertson, 55, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013, at Devlin Manor Nursing Home. Linda battled Huntington’s Disease for over the last three years.  

Linda was born on Jan. 13, 1958, in Cumberland. She was the daughter of Robert Bowman and the late Arentha (Zies) Bowman.  

Linda was employed at Biederlack for 23 years. She was a member of the Bedford Road Volunteer Fire Dept. and District 16 Volunteer Fire Dept. and both of their Ladies Auxiliaries. Linda’s favorite hobby was traveling out west, especially to Colorado.  

Linda is survived by her husband of 32 years, William J. “Rob” Robertson. Linda is also survived by her step-daughter, Heather Lynn Link and step-granddaughter, Avery Cook, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Nixon and husband Jim of Oldtown; two brothers, Donald Grabenstein and wife Carolyn of Short Gap, W.Va. Charles Bowman and wife Linda of Ligonier, Pa. Linda is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Linda had a favorite aunt and uncle, Gloria and Bobby Finlayson of Hagerstown. Linda also leaves behind her furry companion, Carbon who was her special black Shepherd.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, (www.scarpellifh.com) on Monday, April 1, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Turner officiating.  

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
