— RAWLINGS — Karen Ann Kienhofer-Porter, 59, of Rawlings, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at her home.

Born Sept. 19, 1953, in Cumberland, Mrs. Kienhofer-Porter was the daughter of the late Alfred J. Kienhofer Jr. and Hallie (Nelson) Stitcher.  

Karen retired from Sacred Heart Hospital with 20 years of service. She was a member of the Cresaptown Eagles Aerie 2883 and the Haystack Mountain Sportsmen’s Club.  

Karen is survived by her husband of twelve years, Kenneth Porter and her son, Kenneth Porter III, of Rawlings. She is also survived by her sisters, Carol J. Ricker and her husband Tom, of LaVale and Debra K. Kienhofer, of Frostburg; her nephew, Brendon Kienhofer; her niece, Toni Ricker; her great-niece, Ashlynn Kienhofer and her best friends, Phyllis and Wyatt Lewis, of Rawlings.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, ( on Sunday, April 7, 2013, from 3 to 5 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, April 8, 2013, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Amy Paul officiating. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Brendon Kienhofer, Wyatt Lewis, Cody Lewis, Justin Glotfelty, Stephen Nelson and Stanley Nelson.
