EILEEN (EBERT) SCHULLER [Boone, N.C.]

CUMBERLAND — BOONE, N.C. — Eileen Ebert Schuller, 91, of Boone, formerly of Romney, W.Va., passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, at Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation in Boone.  

Born Feb. 12, 1922, in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of William and Irene Whipp Ebert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Schuller; brother, Earl “Buddy” Ebert and parents William and Irene Whipp Ebert.

Mrs. Schuller was secretary to the cashier at the First National Bank of Romney for 27 years and then served as secretary to the president of Barnett Bank of Sebring, Fla., for 10 years. She was a member of the Romney First Christian Church.

Second to her devotion to family, Mrs. Schuller was a nature lover at heart. From her home on Crystal Mountain, she enjoyed being with her dog, Heinrich; viewing Grandfather Mountain and surrounding areas; tending to her flower gardens; and feeding the birds, squirrels, wild turkeys, deer and occasional bear.

Mrs. Schuller is survived by two sons, William Schuller and wife Carol, of Morgantown, W.Va. and Andrew Schuller and wife Virginia, of Romney; grandsons, Brian Schuller and wife Charity, of Cary, N.C. and Kevin Schuller and friend Ashley Fortress, of Shorewood, Wis.; granddaughter, Rebecca Williams and husband Chris, of Winchester, Va.; great-grandsons, Parker Schuller of Cary and Andrew Williams, of Winchester and great-granddaughter, Lydia Schuller of Wheeling, W.Va.  

A private family graveside service for Eileen Ebert Schuller will be conducted at a later date at Indian Mound Cemetery in Romney.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation Activity Fund, P.O. Box 2150, Boone, NC 28607; Medi-Home Health and Hospice, 136 Furman Road, Suite 2, Boone, NC 28607 or Hampshire County Pet Adoption Program, P.O. Box 109, High View, WV 26808.

Austin & Barnes Funeral Home and Crematory, Boone, and Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, served the Schuller family.
