CUMBERLAND — Karlyn Kay Buser, 59, of Cumberland passed away on Monday, Aug. 13, 2013, at the Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
Born on June 18, 1954, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Joseph Kessler and Mary Jo (Valentine) Brinkman. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Valentine and her stepfather, William Brinkman.
Karlyn was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains, Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a student and a CNA. She enjoyed ceramics and taking long drives.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband of 25 years, David Buser; children Dale Franklin Wright III, Stephanie Wright and Traci Wright-Tilson and husband Ashley; brothers Brian Brinkman and Joseph Kessler and wife Lisa; one sister, Joy Wood; grandchildren Avery Appold, Ryan Blonshine, Levi Swope, Brianna Ketterman, Carissa Ketterman and numerous nieces and nep-hews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. (www.scarpellifh.com) 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Mountains, Saint Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at 10 a.m.
Following the visitation and the funeral mass, she will be cremated at her request.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
