ROBERT H. “BOB” HOLLER [Patterson Creek, W.Va.]

— PATTERSON CREEK, W.Va. — Robert H. “Bob” Holler, 87, of Patterson Creek, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born June 25, 1926, in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late Daniel A. and Elizabeth (Hendra) Holler. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Agnes (Robison) Holler; three sisters, Virginia Cave, Margaret and Mildred Holler; and four brothers, Daniel, William, Albert Jr. and John Holler.

Bob was an Army veteran of World War II, and was employed at Celanese. He retired from Cumberland Electric where he was a TV technician. Bob was a lifetime member of the Patterson Creek Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Saint Paul’s Methodist Church, Patterson Creek. He was an avid fisherman and loved to garden. He loved helping others and was available at all hours of the day and night. He and Agnes were loyal Pittsburgh Pirates fans and enjoyed attending a lot of their games.

He is survived by his son, Robert L. Holler and wife Cindy, Wiley Ford, W.Va.; grandchildren; Melissa Holler and boyfriend, Keno Young, Frostburg and Brandon Holler and wife Beth, Wiley Ford; three great-grandchildren, Bentley Holler, Carson Holler and Collin Holler; brothers, James Holler and wife Emilie, Fairfield, Pa., and Charles Holler and wife, Audrey, Oakmont, Pa.; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Robison and wife Ruth, Ridgeley, W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nep-hews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, ( on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Patterson Creek  and Wiley Ford Volunteer Fire Departments will hold a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at Saint Paul’s Methodist Church, Patterson Creek, on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joyce Anderson officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
