CUMBERLAND — Beatrice “Bea” Elizabeth Sell, 88, formerly of Green Street, Cumberland, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Golden Living Center.
Born June 17, 1925, in Clearville, Pa., Mrs. Sell was the daughter of the late Roy S. Clark and Edith E. (Cogan) Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Sell Sr., on Dec. 20, 1966; a daughter, Debra Anita Bierman on Sept. 15, 1991; three sisters, Orpha Shaw, Janet Nelson and Reba Chamberlain and a brother, Guy Clark.
Bea was employed at the former Grant Department Store, LaVale and retired from the Cumberland Cloak and Suit Company on Baltimore Street, Cumberland.
She was a member of the Living Stone Church of the Brethren where she enjoyed working in the kitchen helping to prepare meals.
Bea is survived by her son, Robert H. Sell Jr. and wife Sandy, of Carpendale, W.Va. and her brothers, Richard Clark, of Port Royal, Pa. and Henry Clark and wife Wilda, of Clearville, Pa. She also leaves behind her granddaughters, Amber Barger and husband Tom, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., Autumn Withrow and husband Brian, of Saint Albans, W.Va., Suzette Bowen, of Ridgeley, W.Va. and Jennifer Hamilton and husband Chad, of Cumberland and her grandsons: Trevor Sell and wife, Jennifer; Justin Sell and special friend, Sherry Mock, all of Carpendale, W.Va. and Bruce Bierman and wife Valerie, of Richmond Hills, Ga. Bea is also survived by her great-granddaughters, Keiara Barger, Ashleigh Barger, Hannah Hamilton and Camryn Bierman and her great-grandsons, Chase Barger, Landyn Sell, Camdyn Sell, Devin Bowen, Andrew Withrow, Maddux Withrow, Hunter Hamilton and Garrett Bierman.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Livingstone Church of the Brethren on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gerald Hott officiating. The family will also receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
