INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. — Lorraine F. Often, 5004 Fine Robe Drive, Indian Trail, N.C. 28079, died May 5, 2013. She was born on Oct. 11, 1929 in Cumberland. Mrs. Often was the daughter of the late Richard K. Fox and Alma M. (Miller) Fox/Weinrich. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Often and her son, Bradley J. Often.
Mrs. Often was retired from the Allegany County Board of Education having served 37 years as secretary at Fort Hill High School, Washington Middle School, Pennsylvania Avenue, and South Penn Elementary Schools.
She was a member of LaVale United Methodist Church, but also attended the Central Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Often is survived by her daughter, Luanne K. Ave’Lallemant and husband Timothy R. Ave’Lallemant, Charlotte, N.C. Also surviving are four very special granddaughters, Megan, Leah, Claire and Kaitlyn Ave’Lallemant of Charlotte.
Mrs. Often, in accordance with her wishes, will be returned to Maryland and interred with her husband and son at Sunset Memorial Park. The timing of these arrangements has not yet been decided.
