OAKLAND — Bonnie Mae Doerr, 72, of Oakland, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born July 12, 1941, in Oakland, she was the daughter of the late Edward Spiker and Pauline (McCrobie) Lewis. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Wisecarver.
Ms. Doerr was a senior manager for Allegany County HRDC and a member of Oak Grove Church of the Brethren and LaVale Assembly Senior Citizen’s.
She is survived by her step-father, Lawrence Lewis, Friendsville; three sons, Tony R. Doerr and wife, Elizabeth and Scott A. Doerr and wife, Karen, all of Accident, Todd A. Doerr and wife, Kelli, Friendsville; a brother, Larry Lewis, Friendsville; three sisters, Rosetta “Cookie” Lewis, Oakland, Nancy Friend, McHenry, Fayann Saturday, Oakland; six grandchildren, Austin, Ryan, Cassie, Nicole, Jason and Tiffany; and two great-grandsons, Konnor and Karson.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Hwy., Accident (McHenry), on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the Oak Grove Church of the Brethren on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Saturday, the Rev. Philip Matthews and the Rev. Carl Fike officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
