THOMAS S. “TOM” LEWIS [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Thomas “Tom” Samuel Lewis, 51, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at his home with his three daughters, family, and friends by his side.

Born Nov. 30, 1962, in Cumberland, Mr. Lewis was the son of the late Clarence Edward Lewis and Elizmae (Rankin) Lewis. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth “Skeeter” Groves.

Tom was previously em-ployed at Lewis’ Junk Yard, and then became a certified mechanic. He was a member of the Souls Harbor Church. Tom loved hunting, ATV riding, and being outdoors.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Ashley Comire and husband, Richard, and their children, Bernice, Jason, and Sierra Crawford, and Ebony Prince and Avery Comire, Amanda (Lewis) Stevens and husband, Shannon, and their children, Michael and Haley Wentling, Abby, Mylee, and Taylor Stevens and Tanna Lewis and fiancé, Cody Fisher, and their son, Colton Fisher, all of Cumberland. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Kennedy and husband, John, Rosalie “Nork” Huff, and Sandy Hardman and husband, Willis; and his brothers, Clarence “Butch” E. Lewis Jr. and wife, Jackie and David C. Lewis and wife, Carla, all of Cumberland. Tom also leaves behind his ex-wives and close friends, Tina Lindsay, the mother of his children, Cumberland, and Diane Sarver, Frostburg; his best friends, Jeff Watson and Kenny Whisner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland,  (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Friday, April 18, 2014, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with a funeral service to be conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gail Chaney officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Tom’s name to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
