— MOUNT SAVAGE — Daniel Keith Lowery, 55, of Mount Savage, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Golden Living Center.

Born Aug. 20, 1957 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Irvin E. and Ada L. (Sparks) Lowery. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Lowery and Linda Redinger.

Daniel was a 1975 graduate of Fort Hill High School. After high school he attended the Diesel Institute of America for tractor-trailer training. Daniel was employed by J.B. Hunt Trucking, Savage Trucking, and Lumber and Things. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2883 in Cresaptown, the Barrelville Outdoor Club, Kennells Mill Sportsman Club, and the Classy Chassy Car Club. Daniel loved playing music and played the drums for several local bands.  He also loved muscle cars, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

Surviving are his wife, Rhonda K. (Logsdon) Lowery; his children, Justin K. Lowery of Oldtown, Jeremy K. Lowery of Frostburg, and Amber N. Lowery of Mount Savage; his brothers, Ken Lowery of Cumberland, Mike Lowery of Cumberland; sisters, Mary Wilson of Carlisle, Pa., Barb Rose of York, Pa., Cindy Williams of Greensburg, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. (, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at noon.

Interment will be in Porter Cemetery in Stringtown, Pa.
